According to preliminary data, over 460 persons were detained during silent protests across Belarus yesterday.
Minsk police detained 220 protesters, including several journalists, foreign nationals and diplomat David Emtestam, the first secretary of Sweden embassy in Belarus, who was later released.
Some of the detainees were eventually released without charges. Others were beaten and charged with “disorderly conduct” (Art. 17.1 of the Administrative Code).
At least 15 protesters are to stand trials today.
