Homel: opposition activists apply for authorization rally against poverty
Representatives of the Homel coalition Our
Alternative applied for authorization of a rally against poverty on 3 July.
Earlier they also applied for a picket in cooperation with the Young Front and
the civil campaign Speak Truth.
However, they decided not to wait for an answer, but also apply for
authorization of a rally, to be on the safe side. This time they prepared their
application more seriously and included there variants of cooperation with
medics and the police. Unlike the time, the place of the rally is the same as
that of the picket – the ground in front of the Palace of Culture of the Deaf,
the only place determined for such actions by the city authorities.
Bear in mind that not a single street action of the opposition has been
authorized by the Homel authorities for seven years already.
