Official warning for comment on blog

On April 18 the editor-in-chief of “Babrujski kurjer” newspaper Anatoly Sanatsenka received a registered letter with delivery notification from the prosecutor’s office of Leninski district of Babrujsk.

There was “An official warning on inadmissibility of law violations which regulates relations in the sphere of control procedures” in the letter. The document was signed by deputy prosecutor of the district A. M. Kabernik.

The prosecutor’s office had claims concerning one of the posts on Anatoly Sanatsenka’s blog at the popular website “Belorusskiy partisan” (Belarusian partisan). There the journalist amplifies the thought expressed by A. Lukashenka, that the establishment currently in power is to blame for the tragic events in Minsk on April 11.

Anatoly Sanatsenka is set to challenge the official warning received by him.
