Human rights defenders say youth opposition activist Vital Stazharau has been declared another suspect in the 19 December 2010 mass riot criminal case.
The youth had been repeatedly summoned for interrogation and on 7 February his residence was searched by law enforcement agents, despite the fact he had left Belarus shortly after the presidential election.
On 30 March, Vital Stazharau’s grandmother received a writ issued by the KGB naming her grandson a suspect in the mass riot criminal case.
