On 14 April residents of Pinsk held a mournful
action dedicated to victims of the 11 April terrorist act in Minsk. The action took place in a small
square which was created to mark the day of the town. People lit candles near a
symbolic chapel.
Not denying the necessity of the nationwide mourning, Pinsk residents point at an interesting fact:
the explosion that took place at the state enterprise Pinskdreu on 25 October 2010 claimed 14 lives, and 8 more people
received various kinds of injuries. However, mourning was declared almost a
week after the accident and only in the Brest
region, not on the national scale.
