The Committee on
International Control over the Situation of Human Rights in Belarus expresses
its deepest condolences to the victims’ families and to everyone injured in the
blast.
"We welcome the intention to conduct a transparent investigation of the
tragedy announced by Belarusian President Aliaksandr Lukashenka. We think that
the transparency of the investigation means the possibility of journalists and
civil organizations’ easy access to information.
We think that the openness of the investigation to the public and the
possibility of a public discussion of the events are essential", reads the
statement by Andrey Yurov, Chair of the Committee on International Control.
