Questionings in connection with the 11 April terrorist act in Minsk metro continue
On 12 April Dzianis
Dashkevich, an opposition activist from Rahachou, was urgently summonsed to the
local KGB department for a questioning concerning the terrorist act in Minsk.
The activist was asked whether there were any witnesses who had seen at the
time of the terrorist act and whether he heard about the preparation of the
terrorist act by the opposition.
After 8 p.m. the police also proposed a civil activist Pavel Nazdra to take his
fingerprints. HE said that he had been fingerprinted during an administrative
arrest. However, they told that these fingerprints were missing and they needed
to fingerprint him once again.
In the evening, the police also paid a visit to the apartment of the Brest human rights defender and member of the For Freedom movement Kanstantsin
Turchaniak in order to question him about the 11 April blast in Minsk. However,
Kanstantsin wasn’t at home. His brother and father think that this visit could
be connected to the fact that Kanstantsin had been detained in Brest for an action of solidarity with
political prisoners soon after the events of 19 December.
