On 12 March judgments to Dzmitry Novik and Aliaksandr
Malchanau, convicted participants of the protest rally on Independence Square
on 19 December, entered into legal force. They were found guilty with
participation in mass riots and sentenced to 3.5 and 3 years respectively.
Dzmitry Novik will be sent to the correctional colony Vitsba-3, Aliaksandr
Malchanau – to the colony in Babruisk.
Aliakwsandr Atroshchankau, sentenced to 4 years of imprisonment in a maximum
security colony, appealed the verdict and is waiting for the court decision.
Vasil Parfiankou, sentenced to 4 years of imprisonment in a high-security
colony, appealed the verdict as well and is also waiting for the court
decision. He will be sent to the colony in Orsha.
