Activist involved in anarchists’ case faces charges for hacker attacks
Aliaksandr Frantskevich, one of the accused in so-called “anarchists” case currently in custody in Minsk pre-trial prison #1 in Valadarski Street, is now facing additional charges for hacker attacks on the official web-site of Navapolatsk town executive committee.
According to www.ej.by, Minsk city department of internal affairs has initiated a criminal case against Aliaksandr Frantskevich for alleged attacks on the web-site www.novopolotsk.by. The anarchist is said to have uploaded malware and thus managed the site’s contents.
The activist was detained on 3 September 2010 on suspicion of involvement in the attacks on a police station in Salihorsk. He was later charged with attacking the Defense Ministry Headquarters and the central office of the Trade Union Federation.
