Editor of Novy Chas interrogated by police

The editor of the Novy Chas newspaper received a telephone invitation for a ‘talk’ from the Frunzenski District Police Department of Minsk. A police officer said that his telephone was registered in Nezalezhnastsi Square at the time of the 19 December demonstration.

In the course of the talk Mr. Karol was explained that all people present on the square at that time were questioned. ‘I explained my stay on the square by implementing my professional duties as a journalist. I needed to see everything with my own eyes,’ explained Mr. Karol to the Belarusian Association of Journalists.

After the talk Aliaksei Karol was offered to be photographed, but refused from it.
