Judge of Chyhunachny district of VItsebsk Uladzislau Shikarau has fined a democratic activist Syarhei Kavalenka 140,000 Br.
Kavalenka was detained on May 6 for alleged crossing the road in a wrong place, but in the police department of Chyhunachny district a report for foul speech was drawn up, "Radio Svaboda" informs.
Syarhei Kavalenka finds these charges libelous. He is convinced that he had been detained to be isolated for the time of the official Victory Day celebrations.
