On 13 May the Navahradak police tried to conduct searches at apartments of the local activists. They told the Protestant pastor Uladzimir Kachahur they were looking for the green paint which had been flung on a car by unknown persons.

According to information of RFE/RL, Mr. Kachahur is going to become a member of the organizing committee of the Belarusian Christian Democracy and thinks that the police actions are connected to this fact.

Policemen also kept duty near the apartment of another BCD member, Yury Kazak, who had been already punished for spilling the local monument to Lenin with green part. His mother didn’t let him in the apartment. They told they needed to search the apartment where Yury lived with his wife and a small daughter.

Dzianis Bialiak, a former student of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, told Nasha Niva, that on 13 May his parents were visited by the policemen who had a search warrant. The local police inspector, Valiantsin Rahulia, told the parents that their son was suspected in hooliganism (he and his friends allegedly spilled green paint on someone’s car yesterday evening). The Bialiaks didn’t let the police in. Dzianis states that on 13 May in the evening he was in a different place, which could be confirmed by a number of people.
