Yauhen Vaskovich, Babruisk member of the Belarusian Christian Democracy party, running for the town council, says several hundred ballots ‘disappeared’ from polling station #14.
‘I came there early in the morning and copied out the data announced by the election commission. The figures were as follows: 1,200 ballots were received by the polling station for the Regional Council, 64 ballots cast, 0 – found invalid, 797 - left; 1,400 ballots for the Town Council, 64 ballots cast, 0 – found invalid, left – 797. Where have several hundred ballots gone? Nobody knows. However, the list was very soon hidden from observers,’ says the young candidate.
