Chairman of Supreme Court defends practice of runarounds
On 5 October Valiantsin Sukala still refuses to discuss the problem of judicial runarounds. As said to the BelaPAN by the resident of Babruisk Valiantsina Kavalenka, 21 women from different parts of Belarus came to get Valiantsin Sukala’s audience on this matter that day.
‘It was our fourth attempt to meet with the head of the Supreme Court for the last four months. However, like it has happened earlier, we waited for four hours standing in the reception room and received a refusal,’ said Mrs. Kavalenka.
The women decided to meet with the head of the Supreme Court as they have been receiving runarounds from the officers of the Supreme Court to their complaints.
‘As far as Sukala refused to discuss the problem of runarounds with us, and on 17 September the deputies of our group weren’t accepted by the head of the presidential administration Uladzimir Makei, we will have to apply to the international structures,’ Valiantsina Kavalenka said.
