The youth activist Siarhei Kliuyeu was fined 175 000 Belarusian rubles for having hung out a banner in Minsk on 23 February.

This decision was taken by the administrative commission at the Leninski district executive committee of Minsk. As a decree says, Siarhei Kliuyeu ‘hung out a 7.5х0.4 meter banner ‘Shame to Political Draft!’ on the address Sviardlou Street, 23 in Minsk’. The administrative commission thinks that by this action he violated paragraph 46 of the Rules of Development of Minsk and committed an administrative offence (part 2, article 21.14 of the Administrative Code), ucpb.org reports.

Siarhei Kliuyeu was detained by the police for hanging out a banner on a bridge on 23 February. He was guarded to Leninski district police department, where a report against him was drawn up and the banner was confiscated.

It should be reminded that the youth activists Franak Viachorka, Ivan Shyla and Zmitser Khvedaruk were forcefully drafted into the army at that time.
