Introduction of administrative responsibility for divulging state secrets through negligence is planned in Belarus.
Vadzim Zaitsau, chairman of the Committee of State Security (KGB), said it at a session of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly when introducing a draft law on Amendments to the Code of the Republic of Belarus on Protection of State Secrets in the first reading.
The draft law offers to impose an administrative responsibility for divulging state secrets through negligence, V.Zaitsau said. He also informed that the draft law suggests setting equal terms of criminal punishment for divulging state by military men and civilians.
As Interfax-Zapad reports, the draft law was approved in the first reading.
