Baranavichy: Young Front Activists Demand to Stop Persecution of Yaraslau Hryshchenia
On 11 June Young Fronts activists have paid visits to Baranavichy KGB, police and prosecutor’s office and demanded from the officials to stop the criminal persecution of Yaraslau Hryshchenia. At this time Yaraslau Hryshchenia was being interrogated at the KGB. That’s why the activists could not reach him on his mobile. When the delegation was on the way to Minsk, Hryshchenia finally managed to phone them and tell that he has been kept at KGB since morning.
Earlier a similar action of solidarity took place in Salihorsk. Similar actions are also planed for Hrodna, Mahiliou and Niasvizh.
The leader of Young Front Pavel Seviarynets commented: ‘Let everyone who attempts on the Belarusian youth know that they will stand not only people’s trial, but God’s trial as well. And we will just help it here, on the Earth. In the case KGB will continue behaving so boldly, we will have to tour ALL regions in such a fashion. In the case they want to accept Young Front activists together with journalists and human rights activists every day, we can organize it!’
