Smarhon Court Justifies Uladzimir Shulzhytski
The judge of Smarhon court Aliaksandr Kviatkevich justified the 18-year-old public activist Uladzimir Shulzhytski because of absence of corpus delicti in his actions.
The matter of is that Mr. Shulzhytski on his personal initiative distributed handwritten lists of radio waves for Radio Liberty. There he also put the number of his mobile in the case somebody will be unable to tune the radio.
One day somebody phoned to him, asked for assistance and left the address. When Uldadzimir came there, he was met by the police. They said they were looking for a criminal and proposed him to com e with them to a police station. There they composed on him a violation report for ‘swearing’.
At the trial it was found that the call to Shulzhytski’s mobile was made right from the police station and the policemen’s testimonies were contradictory. Then the judge justified the defendant.
