According to the information of the human rights activist Barys Bukhel, on 19 April the judge of Mahiliou regional court Hurynovich considered the cassation complaint of the youth activist Anton Ustsimchuk against verdict of Leninski court of Mahiliou.

According to Anton’s mother, the judge considered the complaint in her office, without secretary and computer, and had the answer printed in advance (which can be considered as a process violation).

Anton Ustsimchuk was detained by the police on the eve of the Freedom Day and charged with hooliganism. At first the trial was appointed on 26 March and the activist spent two days in jail before trial. However, that day the trial didn’t take place because of absence of the police witnesses. On 2 April the judge of Leninski court of Mahiliou Sviatlana Buraka sentenced the activist to 7 days of jail for alleged violation of article 17.1. As the cassation complaint was rejected, 5 days of arrest are left to the activist.
