Homel: Religious Activist Siarhei Nestsiarovich Warned

On 11 April Nestsiarovich was invited to the prosecutor’s office were he was informed on his violation of the abovementioned law by regularly organized meetings of the unregistered religious community in his apartment and by fund-raising, Radio Racyja reports.
At the prosecutor’s office this community figures under the title of the Fraternity of God’s Transfiguration. According to Nestsiarovich, the movement under the same title appeared in Russia several years ago. The fraternity established by Farther Georgy Kochetkov unites certain believers of the Orthodox Church.
The prosecutor office’s official Ieliseieu did not acquaint Siarhei Nestsiarovich with the case because he had already got a formal warning at his disposal. In case of another violation the administrative or criminal lawsuit may be brought against Nestsiarovich.
It is to be mentioned that it was Ieliseieu who handed down the warnings to journalists Iuliia Salnikava and Anatol Hatouchyts for working with foreign mass media without accreditation.
