Administration of Belarusian State Economical University Intimidates Students

A worker of the dean’s office phoned to the student Iana Karpovich’s mother and said the student would be expelled from the university in case she took part in the Freedom Day action on 25 March. In the beginning of the year the girl received the same threats from KGB agents who tried to recruit her. The dean’s office refused to comment the threats.

Last year several youth activists were expelled from the university, including Tatsiana Khoma who pas punished in such a way for going to an international student conference in France without the official permission.
