Mahiliou: KGB Interrogates Student Stanislau Kavaleuski
According to RFE/RL
Two workers of Mahiliou KGB paid a visit to Mahiliou State University to interrogate a first-year student of the historical faculty Stanislau Kavaleuski. A teacher led him to a room where two KGB agents waited for him. The student can’t explain their interest to his person:
‘They introduced themselves as KGB workers and said that Polish Interpol was interested in me. My name is in the lists of Polish NGOs and I am one of the numerous students who can study in the Polish universities in future. Then they said that I was facing 15 years for espionage.’
During the talk the KGB agents tried to get from Kavaleuski lists of the persons who often go abroad. The university rector’s office pays no reaction to this action of KGB, whereas Kavaleuski seeks support from human rights activists.
