More Young Front Activists Summonsed to Interrogations

Several days ago borough prosecutor’s offices of Minsk sent some activists of the unregistered organization Young Front received official summons to interrogations concerning a criminal case brought against the youth leaders Zmitser Khvedaruk and Aleh Korban.
We should remind that on 4 February KGB agents and riot squad police came to a sitting of the Central council of Young Front in Minsk and detained 27 members of regional and Minsk leaders of the organization. The detainees were interrogated and then let go, except for Zmitser Khvedaruk and Aleh Korban. At the same time the apartments of the Young Front activists Iaraslau Hryshchenia, Aliaksei Ianusheuski and Anastasiia Palazhanka were searched. A criminal case under article 193.1 of the Criminal Code, ‘activity on behalf of unregistered organization’, was lawlessly brought against Khvedaruk and Korban.
According to the Young Front press-service, this time the prosecutor’s offices summonsed the persons who hadn’t been detained on 4 February. The interrogations will take place on 5 and 6 March.
