Perspective Starts Collecting Signatures for Amendment of ‘Decree against Individual Entrepreneurs’

In his interview to BelaPAN the chair of the republican public association Perspective Antol Shumchanka stated that the organization would start collecting signatures for amendment of presidential decree #760 of 29 December 2006. He also said that on 13 January he visited all main markets of Homel where assemblies of Perspective members were held. The entrepreneurs of Homel supported the initiative of the organization’s leaders. ‘Perspective will also demand that the conditions of trade of furs and perfumes be changed, but the main reason for criticism is that paragraph that since 1 January 2008 prohibits employment of non-relatives by individual entrepreneurs, the total number of employees still being limited to 3 persons,’ Shumchanka pointed.

He also added that entrepreneurs can’t understand how Lukashenka speaks of support to small business and then issues decrees that contradict to his own words. The entrepreneurs are even ready to street actions in defense of their right to normal conditions of work.
