Russian activist banned entrance to Belarus for 5 years
According to the UCP press-service
On 5 August the youth coordinator of the Republican Party of Russia and activist of Moscow branch of the youth movement Oborona Ekaterina Vinokurova was released from the jail in Akrestsin Street in Minsk after 10-day arrest and deported from Belarus. Together with her there was released the Belarusian citizen Viktar Simanovich.
E.Vinokurova was also banned entrance to Belarus for 5 years. The appropriate seal was put in her passport right after the end of her prison term. Then she was taken to the railway station. The ticket to Moscow was bought at the expense of her parents, who came to Minsk to see her. Its quite interesting that during the electoral campaign in spring 2006 the authorities also deported many foreigners, each of whom was made to pay for the tickets.
The coordinator of Moscow branch of the youth organization Oborona Nikolay Zboroshenko is still in jail. He has been sentenced to 15 days of arrest and will be released on 10 August. According to the youth activist Krystsina Shatsikava, he is keeping a hunger-strike of protest.
