Artur Finkevich is deprived of information

Mahiliou human rights activists have found out that the administration of a corrective facility, where the youth activist Artur Finkevich is serving a sentence of corrective labour, had prohibited him to use a laptop. Previously he had been prohibited to use a radio set.
In both cases the administration demands Artur to present technical documentation for the equipment, which would confirm their legal acquisition. To put it simply, inmates of the corrective facility should have technical passports, documents for the laptop and radio set, and for any equipment, with the marks of their purchase.
It is clear that the radio set and a laptop that had been given to Artur by his friends are not new and their owners do not have documents for them. Human rights activists are sure that the administration of the corrective facility has an opportunity to alter the formal rules in each concrete case. They mean the conditions for using a laptop, radio set and mobile phone. It is worth mentioning that previously an administration representative advised Artur not to bring independent newspapers like Nasha Niva and Narodnaia Volia, and it looks like the administration had been ordered to control the activist strictly.
