According to Narodnaia volia
Last week KGB agents detained the human rights activist Katsiaryna Sadouskaia and took her to the mental house Navinki in Minsk. Katsiaryna Sadouskaia represented in Belarus Pskov regional public movement Veche (Pskov is a Russian city) that dealt with human rights activity. In 2001 she also headed the initiative group for nomination of Mikalai Mianeka as a candidate to the presidential election in Belarus.
Katsiaryna Sadouskaia belongs to the human rights activists who really help people rather than crave for public promotion. She worked in the International association Human rights protection for a long time. When the association ceased to exist she continued helping people on behalf of Veche. Mrs Sadouskaia defended Belarusian and foreign citizens from the self-will of local officials.
According to the information that was given by her husband to Narodnaia volia, on Tuesday two women and a man came to their flat. The man showed to Katsiaryna a KGB certificate and asked to come with him, but promised that she will soon return. However, she didnt come home. The following day it became known she was taken to the mental house. According to the husband, the reason for this was her human rights activity.
