On 31 July in Moscow the persons who had picketed the Belarusian Embassy on 28 July were to have been tried. The picket was held in order to support Ekaterina Vinokurova and Nikolay Zboroshenko, who had been sentenced to 10 and 15 days of jail respectively by the Belarusian authorities.

According to the information of the United Civil Party, the Russian police disrupted the action saying that the picketers had no official permission (despite the fact that the organizers of the action had informed them about the pickets three days before it, as it is demanded by the Russian laws).

Nevertheless, the picketers managed to demonstrate to the public the transparencies. After this the police detained the coordinator of Oborona Oleg Kozlovskiy, its activist Andrey Malitskiy, the activist of the Union of Right Forces Natalya Shevshukova and Georgiy Nurmanov. All of them released, but were to be tried on 1 August. However, the trial is postponed due to the judge’s illness.
