Severe Verdict Passed For Autukhovich
Today the Kastrychnicki Borough Court in Hrodna town passed the verdict in the case of Vaukavysk entrepreneur Mikalai Autukhovich. The judge satisfied the demand of Jauhien Shcharbak, the state prosecutor, who asked to sentence Autukhovich to 42 months of imprisonment and Jury Liavonau, director of Nika-trans company, to 41 months of imprisonment.
The state prosecutor claimed that Autukhovich and Liavonau evaded tax payments and transported people and the baggage without corresponding license and registration of a commercial enterprise that led to huge losses in local budget.
Mikalai Autukhovich was sentenced to 42 months of medium-security imprisonment with confiscation of the property and ban to run business for five years.
Jury Liavonau was sentenced to 41 months of medium-security imprisonment and ban to occupy administrative positions for five years. Liavonau was not sentenced to confiscation of property but the court obliged them to pay BYR 1 billion 132 millions, the money Autukhovich received as profit from entrepreneurship and BYR 40 millions of taxes that he didnt pay for the drivers employed by Nika-trans, reports Radio Liberty.
