On June 16, the Solidarity Day, a candle-action was held in the town of Svietlagorsk, Gomel region. A group of young people with white-red-white ribbons and badges For Freedom gathered at the crossing of three streets close to the city quay. At 8 p.m. the young people lit candles and spent 15 minutes keeping in hands.
Recently stickers 16 and posters Svietlagorsk - For Freedom! have been fixed in the town, and a new issue of the local independent newspaper Regiyanalnyia Naviny dedicated to the Solidarity Day has been spread among the town dwellers. On that day candles were burning in many windows all over Svietlagorsk.
