A number of local NGOs and parties counted that within the last 6 months 17 local residents were legally persecuted for the participation in the presidential campaign. 9 of them were fined, 6 persons were put in prison. One of the activists was fined for acting on behalf of an unregistered organization. Two of them lost their jobs; two students were expelled from universities. The total amount of fines was BYR 1,396,000.
