Human Rights Activists Defend Rights
A public association Mahilyou Human Rights Center (MHRC) has received a letter from Mahilyou regional department of justice. State officials have recommended MHRC to cancel a provision from their statute that human rights center in line with the law provides protection of rights and legal interests of citizens in courts, state bodies and public associations.
Commenting on this to the www.belngo.info, an official head of the organization Uladzimir Krauchnka noted that it is not the first time when attempts are made to deprive human rights activists of their key statute provision, and restrict their right to defend only themselves, members of the public association.
Mahilyou human rights activists have decided to refuse changing their Statute.
