Svetlahorsk: Local Activist Sviatlana Mikhalchanka Summonsed to KGB
According to the press-service of the Assembly of NGOs
The resident of Svetlahorsk Sviatlana Mikhalchanka was summonsed to the interregional KGB board and had there a meeting with the KGB agent who introduced himself as Aliaksei Aliaksandravich Sharynau.
?#152;During the meeting A.Sharynau stated that they had received an anonymous letter that I had radical views and allegedly received money from abroad. He also said that representatives of foreign secret services could try to recruit me and he had to warn me about it,’ said Sviatlana Mikhalchanka.
It’s worth mentioning that during the presidential election she was the chair of Svetlahorsk district electoral headquarters of Aliaksandr Milinkevich and in March she was fined for ?#152;improper placing’ of a stand with Milinkevich’ portrait while handing out the agitation materials out in a street. According to Sviatlana, the summons to KGB didn’t influence her intention to continue participation in the democratic movement.
