Vitsebsk: Administrative Case against Siarhei Salodkin Closed down
According to RFE/RL
The member of the United Civil Party and activist of Milinkevich’s campaign Siarhei Salodkin issues at his own expense the bulletin Poklich voli and distributes it among his acquaintances. On 16 March the police searched his flat when he was absent and composed on him a report for edition and distribution of the unregistered bulletin that ?#152;is harmful to the state and public order’. Mr Salodkin says the police could also search the flat because of his political activity.
On 4 May he was summonsed to Vitsebsk Chyhunachny borough administrative commission together with independent journalists. The responsible secretary of the commission Natallia Sivakova accused Mr Salodkin of intention to make there a show. However, finally all five members of the commission had to confess that the police accusations were groundless. That’s why the commission decided to close the case. N. Sivakova said that the case materials would be returned to the police so that they could give another accusation to Siarhei Salodkin.
