Editorial Office of Independent Newspaper Brestskiy Kuryer Gets Robbed

In the morning of 9 January members of the editorial office of the non-state newspaper Brestskiy Kuryer came to the office. The internal guards of the building where the office is situated didn’t notice anything suspicious.

Brestskiy Kuryer was one of the best known editions of Brest region. In the end of 2005 the newspaper was excluded from the subscription catalogue and the subscription resumed only during the last two days of December. According to the Belarusian Association of Journalists, during the Orthodox Christmas vacations the thieves stole from the advertisement department of the editorial office the database with all agreements and invoices of the newspaper.
