Vintsuk Viachorka and Aliaksiei Kavaliets were detained by the police

The police detained Vintsuk Viachorka and Aliaksiei Kavaliets after the council of the local democratic movement concerning the local assembly for nomination of delegates to the Congress of democratic forces in the town of Dokshytsy. The council was attended by Vintsuk Viachorka, chair of the BPF Party, Kanstantsin Smolikau, chair of Vitsiebsk regional BPF organization, Aliena Zalieskaia, chair of Vitsiebsk regional organization of United Civil Party and the member of the BPF Board Aliaksiei Kavaliets.
After the council some of its participants got in two cars and went to the center of the town for dialogue with citizens. However, suddenly the police detained the car with Vintsuk Viachorka and Aliaksiei Kavaliets. The detainees were accused in distribution of printed production. They ordered the car to drive to a police station. Then they confiscated Kavalets’ driver license. Kavaliets went out to give explanations. Viachorka categorically refused to leave the car till the police would hive him exact charges.
The police “examined” the car and found there officially registered newspaper and fewer than 299 copies of the bulleting of the BPF Party. In three hours they let the detainees go.
