Minsk city court did not grant the complaint by the Narodnaia volia and upheld the ruling by Leninski Borough Court that had awarded it a fine of 109 million rubles.
According to Radio Liberty, on 25 July the Collegium on Civil Case of Minsk City Court did not grant the complaint by the private unitary enterprise Narodnaia volia. The editorial office of the newspaper attempted to have the Leninski Borough Court ruling cancelled, which found the Narodnaia volia guilty of undermining the dignity and business reputation of the chair of the Liberal Democratic Party Siarhei Haidukievich and also three residents of Kletsk, as a result of which the editorial office of the newspaper has to pay the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party damages worth 100 million rubles, and 3 million worth damages to the residents of Kletsk – Piotr Talalaika, Ivan Hudzka and Iryna Zakruta.
The senior editor of the Narodnaia volia Iosif Siaredzich plans to continue complaining against these decisions, now in the Supreme Court, because he believes this to be a matter of honor and scruples. Below is how he commented the events: "This decision is beyond logic. There was an order to execute – and the city court did as instructed. Narodnaia volia is very grateful to it".
