On 15 July in Vitsebsk the police patrol detained the independent press distributors Barys Khamaida and Alies Mudrychenka outside the Vitsebsk Regional Executive Committee. They were handing out the ARCHE magazine, the commercial newspaper Vitebski prospekt and the independent periodical Vybar.
It is not ruled out that the detained people would have to stay in the station until evening because at around 6 p.m. Aliaxandr Lukashenka will arrived in Vitebsk to take part in the inauguration of the renovated Kirau bridge, and then open the Slavic Bazaar festival, reported Radio Liberty.
