On 21 June at 8 in the morning police officers came to the privately-owned apartment where the renowned Hrodna journalist, the editor of the Magazyn polski, Andrei Pachobut lives. The journalist and public activist was taken to the police station of the Dzeviatouka block. The thing is that Andrei Pachobut was summonsed to this station on Monday. However, the subpoena was not served to Pachobut personally.
In the Dzieviatouka police department the investigator Natallia Haidash informed the journalist and activist of the Union of Poles in Belarus Andrei Pachobut that they had received a complaint from Tadeusz Kruczkowski. He had referred to the insulting articles published by Andrei Pachobut about Kruczkowski, calling the journalist the senior editor of the Pahonia newspaper site, which is not true. Andrei Pachobut refused to testify and was released later on.
Recently pressure exerted on the Union of Poles activists has stepped up. About 15 people have been invited over the phone to come to the Economic Crime Department.
