According to preliminary information obtained by HRC Viasna, the investigator in the case of Anatol Shumchanka ruled to change confinement to a written undertaking not to leave the city due to the “changed circumstances of the case”.
We'd like to remind you that A.Shumchanka was arrested on 1 March for taking part in a protest action by businessmen, and sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest. On 11 March A.Shumchanka was transferred to the Detention Prison of Minsk because he was accused of beating the cellmate. The charges are by terms of Art. 339 part 1 of the Criminal Code – hooliganism.
