Minsk CEC Again Disallows Communist Celebration
In the recent years Belarusian authorities have disallowed communists to celebrate 7 November despite of the fact that it has the official status of the Day of October revolution. That’s why the communists have no surprise that this year Minsk City Executive Committee didn’t permit the gathering in Kastrychnitskaya Square of Minsk and the demonstration to the Victory Square along Frantsysk Skaryna Avenue and the meeting in Horki Park. Instead of it, the authorities, according to their tradition, directed the Party of Communists of Belarus to Banhalor Square. The communists don’t see any sense to gather in the place where people walk their dogs. That’s why the PCB authorities decided to limit the celebration with holding of a practical scientific conference on 5 November and lay down flowers to Lenin monument on 7 November.
