The Ministry of Justice canceled its warning to Frantsysk Skaryna Belarusian Language Society for having installed a Cross of Sorrow in Belitsa, Lida district. BLS head Aleh Trusaw received a letter from the Ministry, which said: “According to the order of the Minister of Justice # 15, 5 February 2003, the written warning to Frantsysk Skaryna Belarusian Language Society is cancelled”.
Let us remind you that just recently, on 29 January 2003, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus did not satisfy the suit of one of the most mass and popular NGOs to the Ministry of Justice. BLS had appealed to the Supreme Court against this warning, issued for installing a cross in village Belitsa, Lida district.
