Today, December 13, Viktar Ivashkevich was notified that he should come on Monday, December 15, to start serving his term in Baranavichy. Ivashkevich, editor-in-chief of Rabochy newspaper, had been sentenced to 2 years of forced labor for "libel against the President".
Ivashkevich plans his departure for 12 p.m. at BPF office.
According to Ivashkevich, chief editor of Baranavichy independent newspaper Intex-Press proposed him a job of a journalist. However, it is difficult to say, if the administration of the penalty center approves that kind of employment.
