On the morning of April 7, security forces in full gear arrested Viktar Sazonau, reports Haradzienskaja pravaabarona. The reason for the detention is still not known.
Sazonau was already detained on July 14, 2021, when a wave of searches and detentions of human rights defenders swept across Belarus. For a considerable period of time, Sazonau was a suspect in the Viasna case and was under a written undertaking not to leave the country, but he was cleared later.
UPDATE: As it became known later, Viktar Sazonau was taken to the police department of the Lieninski district of Hrodna.
