On July 18, the Minsk Municipal Court pronounced the verdict on the political prisoner Vital Zhylinski. The case brought under Article 342 (participation in actions that grossly violate public order) and Article 130 (incitement of hatred) of the Criminal Code had been considered since July 12. Judge Natallia Buhuk sentenced the political prisoner to three years of imprisonment in a general-security penal colony.
43-year-old Vital Zhylinski was detained on January 13 in a criminal case under Article 342 of the Criminal Code and placed in custody. After six months behind bars, Vital's case was brought to court, and the charges were expanded by one more article of the Criminal Code, Article 130 (inciting hatred).
