In prison, he was twice offered to write a petition for clemency to Lukashenka. The political prisoner refused to do it, not to be mocked for his “weakness” afterwards.

As reported from the scene by the ERB journalist Ales Piletski, Mikalai Autukhovich was released from Hrodna prison No. 1 at about 8 a.m. He was met at the entrance of the Hrodna prison by his relatives, political activists and journalists – all in all, about 30 people.

The prisoner stated that fir of all he needed to have a rest after prison. However, this day he want to pass the medical tests in order to find about the state of his health. One of his nearest plans is also to clear the situation with the Union of Veterans of the War in Afghanistan and continue the work on its establishment.

Mikalai Autukhovich told the journalists he had receved 2,292 letters in prison. The last one has been handed to him today.

Bear in mind that the Vaukavysk entrepreneur spent 62 months in prison. In 2009 the Supreme Court found him guilty of storing five fire cartridges. It was the second conviction for Mr. Autukhovich.
