Brest Regional Court dismissed a complaint filed by a civil society activist from the town of Belaaziorsk Aliaksandr Kuzmin to contest the actions of the prosecutor of Biaroza district and the Brest Regional Prosecutor’s Office. Judge Alena Kavalchuk supported the decision of prosecutors who had issued a warning for activity on behalf of the unregistered organization, the "Tell the Truth" movement.

Aliaksandr Kuzmin’s associate Valiantsin Lazarenkau says the decision is unlawful, “Do not confuse public activities with activities on behalf of an unregistered organization.”

According to Lazarenkau, when there is a question (and they occur), a certain number of citizens are united to jointly solve the problem. No structure, no official organization is needed to solve the problem.

Aliaksandr Kuzmin will file a complaint with the Supreme Court. If he does not achieve the truth in his country, the activist intends to submit a complaint to the UN Human Rights Committee.
