Bialynichy activists hold action in support of political prisoners
On 12 March, civil
activists of Bialynichy wrote letters and postcards of solidarity to
political prisoners within the framework of the "Wave of
Solidarity" campaign, held by the Belarusian Christian Democracy
Party.
"The letters and postcards with words of support
and sympathy were written by Bialynichy activists of the BCD
organizing committee, members of the Belarusian Popular Front Party
and activists of the civil campaign "Tell the Truth", says
the action organizer Piatro Shymbaliou. "All these letters and
postcards have been mailed to the political prisoners. These days we
have also been distributing BCD leaflets with information about the
political prisoners and calls to write letters to them.
We
are going to continue such actions in support of political prisoners
in Bialynichy. It is very important that people know that there are
such people in our country. Political prisoners also need our
constant support, so that they could feel our support."
