Political prisoner Lobau restricted in number of visits and parcels
Eduard Lobau was punished in accordance with article 117 of the Criminal Procedure Code (discipline violations). RFE/RL learned it from Maryna Lobava, the mother of the political prisoner, who received a phone call from him.
Eduard Lobau is allowed to have only one visit and one parcel a year. He can receive a money transfer of one basic unit once a month.
The "Young Front" member was sentenced to 4 years in prison for hooliganism. He and the "Young Front" leader Zmitser Dashkevich were accused of an attack on strangers in Minsk. The incident happened the day before the presidential election. The injured people hid their faces when they were giving evidence at the trial. Lobau and Dashkevich say the fight was provoked by security services. Eduard Lobau serves his term in a penal colony in Ivatsevichy.
