A famous blogger and businessman was not
permitted to leave the country for Lithuania on 12 November.
As it was found out, he was on a list of persons
restricted to leave Belarus.
Andrei Kabanou told charter97.org website that the official reason for the
travel ban was a claim to his firm.
Bear in mind that Andrei Kabanau became
famous after recording a conversation with the Belarusian deputy minister of
economy, Andrei Tur. The talk with
the drunken official was filmed at a party at the Embassy of Sweden. The video
became an Internet hit and was shown on Russian TV.
Aliaksandr Lukashenka appointed Tur deputy head of the presidential
administration on Friday.
